Learning stops when you do not ask questions but the inquisitive alien “P. K” revealed a lot which we the humans are unable to see and think. He actually told us about the wrong numbers which we along our ancestors had been dialing since very long.
Arriving in
birth suit “i.e. Naked” on earth, his first encounter was with a thief who snatched
his beacon to spaceship. Here we are talking about the curious but handsome
alien who landed before Christmas on this earth to tell people ‘ye tau Wrong
number hai bhaya.’ Amir khan starring as in ‘P.K’ in PK movie is seen as the biggest hit of 2014, the reason is
he asked those child like questions which nobody even dared or bothered to ask.
It was the
most awaited film in both India and Pakistan. Many thought it’s subject be
somewhat linked to Pakistan, as the name depicts it, but later on after
watching movie we realized that Amir’s questions were so unique and innocent
that everybody thought he was tipsy and they asked him “pee kay hai” which
became his name PK.
P. K.'s
childlike curiosity transforms into a spiritual odyssey for him and millions
of others. The film is an ambitious and uniquely original exploration of
complex philosophies i.e God, spirituality, and Love.
Raj kumar
Hirani as usual picked a message film for his audience and told him what is
wrong in fake unwritten rules in culture of India. By enlightening their minds,
he tells without any reason and logic do not follow any Swami, Guru, Peer, or Mullah.
Amir Khan
loses his doorway to home, “Shiv ka Manka” as mentioned by SWAMI and keeps on
finding him. In search of his way back home, he met Anushka Sharma who was a
broadcast journalist and heartbroken girl. She lost her love in Germany because of a warning
by Swami G and later on found a vague and misguiding letter in church when
she was going to marry love of her life Sarfaraz (Sushant Sharma) who
was a Pakistani, later one she came back to India but her family did not
accepted her. She started working for a news channel under Cherry (Boman Irani)
the most hilarious Boss of all times. On her duty, she found the unique, inquisitive,
and cute alien “P.K” looking for God to find him a way to home.
Film has
many laughs aloud scenes and Anushka as in “JAGGU” captured screen very well. Her
acting was very real and viewers liked her short hair looks as well. In some
scenes between the two, she is actually the one who manages to keep your eyes
glued on her. Her spontaneity easily makes her one of the finest actor from the
current generation.
These could
be as some of the bad points in the film. The preaching Hirani subjects us to
with clichés like the Hindu-Muslim angle, India-Pakistan friction, and
religious differences; hold on, there is even a bomb blast that has no
relevance with the story line. Anushka’s romance with Sushant Singh Rajput and
their subsequent break-up is the most amateurishly scripted love story this
year. Sanjay Dutt has never been so badly miscast.
Movie faced much
criticism in India but Supreme Court gave a fine decision regarding this, that
if someone does not like the way Hirani and Khan talk over this issue, they
should not watch it rather than banning it around the country.
My verdict
on this is very clear that young generation should understand these clichés and
use their minds. Our elders has spent their lifetime with these norms and
cultural values which were not written but practiced in society since ages, but
we need to be more logical, we need no one
else to connect.
Movie’s main
cast included Amir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt.
Directed by Raj Kumar Hirani and screenplay by Rajkumar Hirani, Amir Khan and abhijat
joshi.
