The world has suddenly been divided into two groups: the Blue and Blacks and the Gold and Whites.
The BBs and the GWs are screaming at each other in loungerooms, in offices, in different lighting across the globe. The cause of the great debate? The color of a dress.
On Thursday, a user going by the name of Swiked posted a photo of a striped dress to Tumblr, which was then picked up by Buzzfeed. "Guys please help me — is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking the fuck out."
We're not here to debate why some people see it one way and some people see it otherwise. No, we're just here to point this out: The Internet is going nuts over a photo that's just terribly, horribly overexposed.
"The dress is indeed black and blue. I fired up Photoshop and fixed the exposure. Here’s what the dress looks like in real life" gizmodo
and here are some science facts
“Our visual system is supposed to throw away information about the illuminant and extract information about the actual reflectance,” says Jay Neitz, a neuroscientist at the University of Washington. “But I’ve studied individual differences in color vision for 30 years, and this is one of the biggest individual differences I’ve ever seen.” (Neitz sees white-and-gold.) .wired

I don't understand this odd dress debate and I feel like it's a trick somehow.
I'm confused and scared.
PS it's OBVIOUSLY BLUE AND BLACK

Guys. I've stared at this dress for 5 minutes. Like an idiot. All I see is white and gold. And a satin bolero that shouldn't be paired w/ it

I'm not going to give my opinion on the dumb dress that is clearly blue and black.
— Gavin Free (@GavinFree) February 27, 2015
The dress is 100% gold and white!

People who think the dress is white and gold is why I have trust issues.
