Pakistan approves $5 million aid for Rohingya



After the disturbing condition of Rohningya Muslim community in Burma, Pakistan decided to helo them as well.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved all the recommendations of the special committee to solve the plight of Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar including assistance of $5 millionn, an official statement said.

The announcement was made after Islamic nations have expressed concerns over the treatment of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

Sharif would be writing a letter to the UN secretary general drawing his attention to the issue, said the statement issued by the prime minister’s office.

The Pakistan government formed a high-level committee to explore ways on how to respond to the needs of the Rohingyas.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Senate passed a resolution condemning the persecution of the Rohingya Muslims and called for declaring June 12 a day of solidarity with them.

The resolution said that Rohingya Muslims were being denied of their natural right of residing in a country where they have been living for centuries.

There had been hue and cry everywhere for helping the Rohingya Muslims who are targeted by the extremist Buddhist in Burma. People around the world ask Muslim countries and United Nations for helping the deprived community. Social media has shared a lot of dreadful images which showed the misery of those people waiting for assistance.

The genocide is not stopped yet but it is reported that Turkish army is there to help them.
