HERSH: The White House is lying about the killing of Osama bin Laden

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh has a startling new article claiming the White House fed the public lie after lie about how the US killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011.

Hersh writes in his article
Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was holding bin Laden as a prisoner. A former senior Pakistani intelligence officer tipped the US off about bin Laden's whereabouts in exchange for $25 million
Here are the main takeaways:

  • The White House's "most blatant" lie was that Pakistan's two most senior military officials were never informed of the mission, Hersh says.
  • While US officials say they found bin Laden by tracking his trusted courier, Hersh says they discovered his whereabouts from a former Pakistani intelligence officer who wanted the $25 million reward the US was offering.
  • The government claimed bin Laden was hiding out, but Hersh says the Pakistani intelligence agency had actually been holding him captive since 2006 to use him as leverage against Taliban and Al Qaeda activities in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
  • While the White House has said it would have taken bin Laden alive if it could have and that he was killed in a firefight, Hersh says that wasn't the case. "There was no firefight as they moved into the compound; the ISI guards had gone," Hersh wrote.
  • The article also takes issue with the White House's claim that bin Laden was buried at sea in a service that followed Islamic practices. "The remains, including his head, which had only a few bullet holes in it, were thrown into a body bag and, during the helicopter flight back to Jalalabad, some body parts were tossed out over the Hindu Kush mountains — or so the Seals claimed," Hersh reported, citing his senior US intelligence official.

Hersh says the White House did not respond to his requests for comment. Given that the US side of the story is based primarily on a single anonymous source, it should obviously be viewed with skepticism.

the article is a startling read...

Who is Seymour Hersh?

He exposed the "My Lai massacre" and its cover-up during the "Vietnam War"

He uncovered the mistreatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib in Iraq

Are we finally getting some version of the truth?

Hazara community under threat now, extremist groups kidnapping people

A wave of kidnappings followed by numerous beheading of members of Afghanistan’s Hazara ethnic group have spread alarm and anger among a people who historically have been this country’s most persecuted.

The police in Ghazni Province confirmed Sunday that four Hazara farmers kidnapped by the Taliban had been found beheaded in Ajristan District. Six more Hazaras from Daikundi Province who had been kidnapped by unknown assailants were also found dead, dumped in Ajristan, less than a week after their families began searching for them, officials confirmed on Monday.

Although the police have not yet recovered the bodies, local reports said they, too, had been beheaded.

Beheading is not normally a Taliban tactic, but the insurgents seem to be trying to make an ugly example of the Hazaras, in what some see as a bid for attention.

“The Taliban are trying to send out a new message that they are similar in their brutality to ISIS,” said Shahgul Rezaye, a Hazara Member of Parliament, referring to Islamic State extremists from Iraq and Syria, who reportedly have been trying to recruit supporters in Afghanistan. “They’re trying to show they are as bad as ISIS.”

It seems that Taliban fears of being degraded and now they are trying to tell that they are equally terrible and brutal. By targeting Hazara community they are trying to get back into the A list of terrorists but this is causing great harm to the Hazara community and Afghanistan. This community face genocide in Pakistan as well and in this game of ISIS and Taliban they will suffer most, New York Time reported.

Responding to the public pressure, President Ashraf Ghani invited relatives of the 31 missing men to attend his weekly National Security Council meeting last Wednesday, but they left dissatisfied.

More than 19 Killed in Militant Attack on Shi’ite mosque

The death toll of suicide attack and firing on worshipers at Imamia mosque at Hayatabad on Friday reaches to 19.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Health Mustaq Jadoon talking to journalists at Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar, where most of the injured were brought for treatment, confirmed that 19 bodies and 41 injured were brought to the hospital and extensive treatment was being provided to the victims.

He said that four patients were shifted to Khyber Teaching Hospital and one to Lady Reading Hospital.

The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and started search operation for arrest of the third attacker as one of the attacker blasted himself, while the other injured from guard firing expired of wounds, said SSP Operation Dr Mian Saeed.

Aerial surveillance of the area through helicopter was underway.

IGP Nasir Khan Durrani also rushed to the spot and supervised the operation.

Grenade-toting Taliban militants stormed a Shiite mosque in northwest Pakistanwhich led to dozens of wounded and more than 19 killed.

The incident comes two weeks after a suicide bombing at a Shiite mosque in southern Pakistan killed 61 people, the deadliest sectarian incident to hit the country in nearly two years.

Police said several gunmen threw grenades before storming the Imamia mosque in Peshawar, the main city in Pakistan's restive northwest, around the time of the main Friday prayers.

An AFP reporter saw 18 dead bodies in the Hayatabad Medical Complex, while the hospital's public relations officer Toheed Zulfiqar put the toll at 19, saying one of the dead may have been an attacker.

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack in an email statement.

Senior police official Mian Saeed said the assault, which left more than 60 wounded, began when the militants entered the mosque from a nearby building site.

"They were wearing suicide vests and carrying grenades and Kalashnikovs," Saeed told AFP.

"One blew himself up while another was shot by police and was later killed. The operation inside the mosque is over but we are conducting a search operation in the surrounding buildings," he said.

TV footage showed people running away from the scene, some carrying injured on their shoulders, others limping, as police fired shots and checked people at a barrier.

Witness Muhammad Raza told AFP: "There was a huge explosion, I can see many injured lying in front of me."

An AFP reporter at the scene saw soldiers and police commandos arriving.
The mosque is close to several government buildings including the offices of the Federal Investigation Agency and passport agency.

Since June last year the army has been waging a major campaign against strongholds of Taliban and other militants in the North Waziristan tribal area, which lies close to Peshawar.
The military has heralded the success of the operation, which it says has killed more than 2,000 militants, though the precise number and identity of those killed cannot be verified independently.

Anti-Shiite attacks have been increasing in recent years in Karachi, Quetta, the northwestern area of Parachinar and the far-northeastern town of Gilgit.

The country has stepped up its fight against militants since a Taliban school massacre in Peshawar in December.
Heavily armed gunmen went from room to room at the army-run school gunning down more than 150 people, most of them children, in an attack that horrified the world.

Karachi Airport Attack and Reaction of Pakistani Media

Jinnah International Airport - Karachi

8 Jun 2014 23:30 PM another deadliest attack on Karachi

Karachi is Pakistan's largest and most populous metropolitan city of Pakistan with population of 23.5 million and it is also the most favorite destination of TTP and other terrorist groups. Karachi have history of deadliest terrorist attacks and target killings.

After every attack politicians will issue a statement and agencies will blame it on India or Taliban but no one will think or plan for future to avoid such attacks.

Whenever such sad incident occurs three always there players

1. Terrorist
2. Security Forces
3. Pakistani Media

We know terrorist when they came with suicide missions they are very difficult to stop and some how we are also failing against them for last so many years. We don't have proper plan we still confused who is enemy and who is friend. TTP, Afghanistan, India, blah blah...

Security Forces still we are proud of them because when ever sh*t happens we send them to clean up. And if few of them get killed every time we don't care much. Security forces are some how under Pakistan Government it is their responsibility to train them and upgrade them so they can fight well and save us from such terrorism. But our Government and politicians arebusy in leg pulling of each other and saving their own a**. They damn care about how many security personnel got killed in attack.

Now comes the "Pakistani Media", our beloved Media is the only media in the world where they can broadcast live any thing they want any time they want. Whatever is the issue they are the champions their reporting comes first. Who will report first the first killing and who will report first the total number of deaths.

They want to get clear high definitions pictures of dead terrorist and innocent people. If possible they want to take full video how someone got killed so they can broadcast later and

This free media is so free that can broadcast live all the activities of scrutiny forces how they are planning to counter attack or when will they attack, how many number of police
 and rangers are there.

Same thing happened last night as soon they got news of Karachi Airport Attack they took their cameras and ran towards airport to showcase the movie live.  Dunya News was reporting live that how many Ranger Men are coming and from which gate.

A famous columnist Haroon Rasheed also said that "Pakistani Media right now helping terrorist by telling each and every security plan live on TV."

Post by Haroon Rasheed (Journalist).

Yes and it was true as per Haroon Rasheed "While covering rangers operation, the Camera Men of Express News flashed the army men who was hiding behind "

This is not only me or Haroon Rahseed saying this, people blasted about Pakistani Media's irresponsible behavior on twitter and facebook.

One f the twitter account @RJSadiaSattar tweeted
Some one (@samramuslim) reported that Airbus A-310 is on fire

Some angry tweets @cool_soul_pk

When Pakistani media started broadcasting it like live Cricket Match

And these channels were really showing security steps

People asking for more censorship

The main focus of Pakistani media is breaking the news first!!!

And they started live shots from inside airport disclosing location of security officers

Pakistani Media is not only free but immature also!

All channels were covering the incident irresponsibly

All move or strategies for broadcast live so their masters can guide them on their mobiles/whatsapp/message or wireless

-

-
And some one reported Fire Brigade can't go because they are out of fuel, seriously???
-
People got angry that how media got access?

In the last I just want to say that we want free media but not immature media. There should be very strict code of conduct for Pakistan Media. We should make it clear to all the media giants about what they can broadcast live and what they can't. There should be strict ruling and immediate offline if any channel cross the boundary.

Hillary Clinton saying the truth

Hillary Clinton saying the truth

Hillary: "We also have a history kind of moving in and out of Pakistan. Let's remember here. The people we are fighting today, we funded twenty years ago and we did it because we were locked in trouble with Soviet Union they invaded Afghanistan and we didn't want to see them controlling central Asia and we went to work. It was president Regan in partnership with congress led by democrat’s who said you know what? Loving! Pretty good idea! lets deal with the ISI in the Pakistani military lets go recruit Mujahidin, that’s great, lets get some to come from Saudi Arabia and other places importing their WAHABI brand of Islam so that we can go to beat the Soviet Union and guess what? They retreated, they lost billion of dollars and it led to the collapse Soviet Union. So there is a very strong argument which is presence a bad investment in Soviet Union but lets be careful what we saw because we were harvest. So we then left Pakistan! we said OK fine you deal with the Stingers that we left all over your country, you deal with the mines that are along the border and by the way we don't want to do any thing with you actually we were functioning you. So we stopped dealing with the Pakistani military and with ISI....."
